LED Circuit Sticker Art

Kids learn about electrical circuits sometime between 5th - 8th grade, and this is the perfect capstone project. These Chibitronic stickers make is so easy to create light-up cards and artwork, but they are a little costly. Make this a final, art show project. Or team up with the science teacher and split the costs!

Learn.

I started with a template and a small class of upper elementary students. We did a unit study on electronics and art, which culminated in these light-up robot cards. The PDF robot template is no longer bundled with a lesson on the Chibitronic website, but this one comes close.

Build.

I gave the kids lots of leeway to change their robot, or to create a different design, but I wanted them to copy the copper tape/LED template. They could put the LED stickers anywhere on the tape, as long as the positive and negative sides were attached to the correct flow of energy.
